ABOUT DIRECT DEMOCRACY

DEFINITION

In direct democracy, citizens directly vote on policies and laws, without elected representatives acting on their behalf. Instead of electing representatives, people directly participate in decision-making. This differs from representative democracy, where citizens elect individuals to represent them in making laws.
